Is sugar made white by bleaching it with animal bones?

There's been a fair bit in the news about healthy eating, labelling and knowing what we're eating so we can make good choices. Can we really do that?

I stopped buying sugar a year ago, simply because of the refining processes. Sugar can be obtained naturally from fruit. Once i actually stopped taking sugar (tea, cereal etc...) you find your no longer crave it and you do adjust. A lot of our grocery products are so saturated with sugar that before you know it you become a sugar addict which usually leads on to so many health problems later in life!
