The thrilling biography of a true legend

Hampshire FA is to launch the Biography of William Pickford on Thursday, 9 April 2009.

Doubling up as the official launch event, the Bournemouth Divisional FA Pickford Cup Final will be hosting the launch of this exciting read of a ‘true legend’.


As well as holding the position of President of the Football Association, William Pickford was a Council Member for fifty years and integral to the development of Hampshire FA.

Hampshire FA Chief Executive commented “This has been a project that has taken almost 5 years to complete and we are delighted that William Pickford’s influence on our National Game as we know it today has been recorded. Our thanks go to the Author, Norman Gannaway, for his efforts in portraying William’s achievements in the game and I hope that all football enthusiasts enjoy this fascinating read.”
