2010 is surely a bad year for the fashion industry, oh don’t get me wrong there is nothing wrong with the items but there something has surely go wrong for those who works in the industry. At the beginning of the year one of the greatest fashion designers Alexander McQueen committed suicide and it was reported that he was overly depressed following his mother’s death.

Then it was Naoemi Loraine, who was found unconscious after taking a cocktail of drugs and alcohol in an attempt to suicide. Now it was another young models turn; Tom Nicon, 22 the face of the Burberry has committed suicide after jumping from 40ft tall building. It was reported that he was depressed after breaking up with his girlfriend.

Few years back committing suicide was huge news for the people, but with the rate it is going in today’s world it is common news. Is it because people take it for granted and find it as the easy way out of the problems than facing the problems and coping with them. Sure life is not easy for most of us, but taking your own life is not the solution and after you are gone it is those who left behind who suffer.
And without doubt the suicide rate has gone up in the fashion world, but because of what? That is the real question
