According to a number of sources such as MTV and People, superstars Beyonce and Jay-Z married in a private ceremony on Friday 4^th April 2008.  The wedding was so secret, not even Jay-Z’s protégé Rihanna knew about it.

The Wedding ceremony held at Jay-Z’s apartment was followed by a lavish party attended by guests that included Beyonce's Destiny's Child buddies Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams, and the couple's mutual friend Gwyneth Paltrow.

Various gossip websites showed photos of orchids being delivered to the building and a marquee set up on what was said to be the terrace of Jay Z real name Sean Carter penthouse. Amy's Orchids based in Thailand confirmed she provided the 60,000 Dendrobium orchids for the ceremony

Wedding Planner, Trinidadian born Colin Abraham, president of the event organising company, Pollen Nation, informed tabloids that it was his responsibility to take care of the décor.  “The wedding was so hush hush, no one knew when it was going to happen, what or who was involved” he said.

Sounds just like another celebrity wedding.
