Mosaic artist Shazia Wahab has become the latest person to be fired by Sir Alan Sugar from The Apprentice TV show.

Mosaic artist Shazia Wahab has become the latest person to be fired by Sir Alan Sugar from The Apprentice TV show.

Wahab, from south London, whose family hold a Guinness World Record for the number of degrees they have between them, was booted out after the girls' team, led by Jenny Celerier, lost a laundry task.

The 35-year-old applied for the BBC One show after watching the first two series with her father before he died.

She was rejected from the third series but after applying again, selected to compete for a job with Sir Alan in the fourth.

She said: "I'm shocked that I was fired. I actually don't know (why). When I walked out I was in complete shock. I said I'd been stitched up.

"I don't know what went through his (Sir Alan's) mind. I don't think he was given the facts to make a decision.

"Sir Alan also said that he'd been in the business a long time, for many, many years, and that he knew the good from the bad. But what was his impression of Jenny? I don't know why he fired me."

She said appearing on the show: "I discussed it with my father before he died. He said 'If you're going to do it, do it to win it'. I remembered the things that I had said to my father... and I applied." She added: "I don't regret it. I regret the fact that I was fired because I don't think I should have been."

After failing to be selected for the third series, Wahab called herself a mosaic artist instead of an entrepreneur and put in more information about herself in her second application.

Wahab, who was brought back to the boardroom by her team leader Celerier and with fellow contestant Lucinda Ledgerwood, said: "I was told that the show had never had another artist apply before."
