British Transport Police have confirmed that a body found at Paddington Train Station, is that of the missing Children's TV Presenter Mark Speight.

The 42 year-old presenter was found yesterday morning in a disused office block at Paddington Train Station.  He had committed suicide by hanging.

Speight, who rose to fame as the talented Children's presenter on Scratchy & Co and the BBC art show Smart, had been missing since last Monday. 

Speight had been in a fragile state since the death of his fiance, fellow presenter Natasha Collins, on January 3.  Collins died from an accidental drug overdose in a bath of scalding hot water. 

Speight had been living with his fiance's mother, Carmen Collins, since her death and subsequently resigned from his TV show Smart - overcome with grief and unable to continue.

He was last seen at Queen's Park Tube Station, boarding a south-bound Bakerloo train which serves Paddington.  He was planning to meet Mrs Collins in Central London but never showed.

An investigation is now under way into how Speight came to die in the West London station.  Results of a postmortem will be released soon.
