Some African Flavour at the Barbican

Mayra Andrade is a singer from Cap Verde, an archipelago off the western coast of Africa.

She is a multi talented artist, and on top of that she speaks French, English, Portuguese and Creole: A real Citizen of the World. During her concert she brought various music styles and rhythms such as Samba, Batuku a hint of Funana (to name a few. Her first album is called Navega. Watch out for her as she's already working on her sophomore project, which promises to give plenty of good stuff!
